Feel the Design. Didn’t Think.

Hello everyone! Wanted to give an update on what’s going on in the galaxy of Infinity Sabers!

For those of you not in the know, I’m currently working on building lightsabers! The results of the hard work tend to look like the two videos below. I enjoy seeing others have fun battling, and I even enjoy it myself despite losing my battle. It makes all the work I put into the saber really worth it.

It goes without saying, but the force with me regarding the saber building. Up to a point anyway. My recent designs for a curved handle saber is showing that never my mind on where I am or what I am doing. Perhaps I’m not quite as ready as I would like to believe. My new challenge is to create shrouds or coverings the the main hilt piece to give it more flair and its own unique look. The fallacy, if you will, is that I was trying to create the design without having the shape of the actual shroud set first. It resulted in the images below. Click discreetly, and you’ll see why mistakes in design can happen. The intent was not in the design. I tried a bit too hard to have lines flow to one another. This design is now just for me to laugh at.

The design will be changing,  for the better of all of us who have to look at it and as my reputation as a person who designs lightsabers. Until next time, may the force be with!
